Science can explain the origin of will-o'-the-wisps. It's a chemical reaction between phosphine and diphosphine, which mix with methane to create the flames. It comes from the degradation of organic matter buried in the soil, or from animal or human corpses which, as they decompose, release these gases.
Sim I am giving you a standing ovation. I love this, it is fabulous and you are such a smart person too. Thanks for cluing us in on Ignus Fatuus. Sending you lots of love and hugs and best wishes, while I can.
RépondreSupprimerFantastic!
RépondreSupprimerThis is just fascinating on so many levels, Sim - your far-reaching mind and creative vision always brings new insight to my world. Love it!!
RépondreSupprimerThank you for the info about the science on the theme! Fascinating to be sure! Our world is filled with unusual, mystifying yet beautiful acts of nature that we don't understand, the how or why of their existence, but these things are fun, spooky, and mysterious! I love your take on the theme! Very spooky and very "wipsy"! Love how your imagination works!!! Thank you for joining in on the challenge!
RépondreSupprimeryour creation is delightful and spooky in the best possible way! the skeletons have wonderful personality, hanging out together in the woods at night, giving off their luminous glow. i love the scientific info as well. there is both mystery and science in the world and we need them both! it is especially fascinating that these chemical reactions can arise out of that which decays, like corpses! well done all together my friend, xo from michele
